The Butcher Block was first founded in 1995 as a small butcher store in Sunnyside, Queens, NY. As time passed the store became a neighborhood staple, serving hot Irish food such as Irish Breakfast Sandwiches, Beef Stew, Shepherds Pie, and assorted Irish crisps, candies, and sodas. Everything was on the up and up until misfortune struck in August of 2003, when a fire broke out next door eviscerating the Butcher Block and the years of memories and quality service to our community. Yet, through hard work and perseverance, the Butcher Block was reborn in it’s current location at 43-46 41st St Sunnyside, NY. In the years since, we have constantly innovated, and put our best foot forward as is attested to by the press we’ve received, linked below.
