The Butcher Block opened in 1995 as a small butcher shop in Sunnyside, Queens, and quickly became a neighborhood favorite for Irish breakfast sandwiches, beef stew, shepherd’s pie, and imported Irish crisps, candies, and sodas. In August 2003, a fire next door destroyed our original store, but with the support of this community we rebuilt and reopened at 43-46 41st St in Sunnyside, where you will still find us today.
Now a full Irish butcher, deli, and grocery store, we offer fresh cuts and prepared meals for local pickup and delivery, and we ship imported Irish groceries nationwide.
